Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform policy decisions
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health interventions for underserved communities
- Coordinate cross-departmental responses to public health emergencies and outbreaks
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for state legislators and stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded projects supporting maternal health and chronic disease prevention
- Mentor junior analysts and lead community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health analysis or policy development
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or SAS) and GIS mapping
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience working with diverse urban populations
- Knowledge of Michigan public health statutes and regulations
- Strong written communication skills for policy briefs
