Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data and health trends to inform policy recommendations and strategic planning
- Develop, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Coordinate multi-agency initiatives and community partnerships for emergency preparedness response
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders and public health leadership
- Monitor compliance with federal/state health regulations and program performance metrics
- Lead cross-functional teams in health crisis management and outbreak investigation protocols
- Advise on health communication strategies to improve public awareness and engagement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field (required)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health experience in government or regulated healthcare environment
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R) and health data visualization tools
- Expertise in Florida public health statutes, Title X funding requirements, and CMS regulations
- Proven track record in developing evidence-based health interventions and policy briefs
- PH certification (CPH) or eligible for certification within 6 months
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and managing federal/state health program budgets
