Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological surveillance systems to track disease trends
- Analyze complex health datasets using SAS, R, or Python to identify public health priorities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for county health initiatives
- Coordinate community outreach programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholder briefings
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodologies and ethical data practices
- Collaborate with state/federal agencies on grant-funded health projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS/R/Python) and GIS mapping
- Proven success in translating data into actionable public health policies
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance reporting
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred
