Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and emerging threats
- Develop evidence-based public health interventions and policy recommendations
- Collaborate with community partners to implement health equity programs
- Lead grant writing and compliance for federal/state health initiatives
- Supervise junior staff and manage cross-functional project teams
- Present findings to county officials and community stakeholders
- Monitor compliance with HIPAA, CDC, and California Department of Health guidelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government/public health administration
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Valid California Public Health Officer certification preferred
- Experience with health equity initiatives and vulnerable populations
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-year health grants
- Strong analytical writing and public speaking abilities
