Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health assessment frameworks for county-wide initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and risks
- Collaborate with community organizations to develop targeted intervention programs
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for county leadership
- Manage grant applications and ensure compliance with funding requirements
- Coordinate cross-departmental health emergency response protocols
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on public health methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or program management
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS)
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal compliance (e.g., CDC, HRSA)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
- Experience developing culturally responsive health interventions
- Knowledge of California Public Health Code and Title 42 regulations
