Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological investigations for disease outbreaks across Pennsylvania counties
- Analyze public health data using SAS/R to identify population health trends
- Develop evidence-based intervention strategies for vulnerable communities
- Collaborate with federal agencies (CDC, NIH) on grant-funded health initiatives
- Present findings to state legislators and public health advisory boards
- Mentor junior analysts on data visualization best practices
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and public health reporting regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or public health sector
- Proficiency in statistical software (SAS/R) and data visualization tools
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license for statewide travel
- PH certification or eligibility within 6 months of hire
- Experience with grant management (SAM.gov)
