Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health datasets to identify trends and inform strategic initiatives
- Develop evidence-based health intervention programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
- Coordinate cross-departmental emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $500K+ annually
- Train staff on new public health surveillance methodologies
- Advocate for health equity through policy recommendations to county leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health data analysis
- Proficiency in SAS, R, or SPSS for statistical modeling
- Experience managing local government grants and budgets
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Demonstrated success in community health program implementation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders
- Valid Texas driver's license
