Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform intervention strategies
- Develop evidence-based public health policies and protocols for county-wide implementation
- Coordinate cross-agency health initiatives with NYC DOHMH, CDC, and community partners
- Lead crisis response planning for public health emergencies including disease outbreaks
- Present complex health data to policymakers and community stakeholders through compelling visualizations
- Supervise junior analysts and manage public health program budgets
- Conduct community health assessments to identify disparities and target resources
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government public health roles
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and GIS mapping
- Proven track record developing health policies for diverse urban populations
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in health equity analysis and social determinants of health
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience managing public health emergency response programs
