Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Design and implement community health assessments targeting vulnerable populations
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing strategic health improvement initiatives
- Secure and manage federal/state grant funding for public health programs
- Present findings to high-level stakeholders including county supervisors and community leaders
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Title X, and other regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to departmental innovation labs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping
- Proven track record of securing and managing public health grants ($500k+)
- Experience developing health equity frameworks for diverse populations
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
