Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic planning
- Develop and evaluate public health programs focused on disease prevention and health equity
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for County leadership and the Board of Supervisors
- Oversee grant compliance and budget management for public health initiatives
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Mentor junior staff and supervise project implementation teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state program compliance
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Demonstrated success in leading community health initiatives
- Strong understanding of California public health regulations and policies
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse audiences
