Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and emerging threats in Mecklenburg County
- Develop evidence-based health intervention strategies targeting vulnerable populations
- Collaborate with community organizations to implement public health education campaigns
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health agencies
- Manage grant-funded projects related to chronic disease prevention and maternal health
- Leverage GIS mapping tools to visualize health disparities and resource allocation
- Lead cross-departmental task forces addressing public health emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or program management
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proven track record of securing and managing public health grants
- Experience developing culturally competent health interventions
- Strong knowledge of NC public health regulations and reporting requirements
