Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify trends and inform policy decisions
- Lead community health assessments and develop evidence-based intervention strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement public health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders and policymakers
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Train junior staff on data analysis methodologies and public health principles
- Represent the department in community outreach and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and GIS mapping
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and Virginia public health regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate data insights
- Proven project management experience with budget oversight
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
