Responsibilities
- Analyze population health data using SAS/R to identify emerging health trends and disparities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for chronic disease prevention programs
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community organizations and local government partners
- Manage $2M+ grant budgets for public health initiatives across LA County
- Present findings to executive leadership and legislative committees
- Oversee data visualization projects using Tableau for public reporting
- Mentor junior analysts in public health research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or Biostatistics
- 5+ years of public health analysis experience with government agencies
- Expertise in statistical modeling of health outcomes data
- Valid California Public Health Analyst certification (CPHA)
- Proven grant management experience with federal/state funding
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data warehousing systems
- Experience developing health equity frameworks for diverse populations
