Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Lead multi-agency collaborations to implement county-wide public health initiatives
- Design and manage research studies evaluating program effectiveness and community health outcomes
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for county leadership and community stakeholders
- Oversee grant applications and ensure compliance with federal/state public health regulations
- Train and mentor junior public health staff on data analysis methodologies
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analytics or epidemiology
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Proven experience managing complex research projects and grant-funded programs
- Knowledge of Florida public health laws and CDC/WHO guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to diverse audiences
- Valid Florida driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
- Experience with health equity initiatives in multicultural communities preferred
