Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Develop evidence-based public health policies and program recommendations for county-wide implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and evaluate community health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders including government officials and community partners
- Lead research projects addressing health disparities in vulnerable populations
- Oversee data collection methodologies ensuring compliance with HIPAA and CDC guidelines
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate interdepartmental health education campaigns
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or research
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record of developing data-driven public health recommendations
- Strong understanding of health equity principles and social determinants of health
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Illinois Public Health certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state health program compliance
