Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive disease surveillance programs
- Analyze epidemiological data using advanced statistical methods
- Develop public health reports for county leadership and community stakeholders
- Coordinate outbreak investigations and emergency response protocols
- Leverage GIS mapping to visualize health disparities and resource allocation
- Partner with community organizations to design targeted health interventions
- Maintain compliance with CDC and Florida DOH reporting standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or Python for statistical analysis
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Demonstrated experience with health data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of Miami-Dade County's demographic and health landscape
- Excellent written communication for policy briefs and technical reports
- Valid Florida driver's license
