Responsibilities
- Design and implement culturally competent health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Develop evidence-based curricula on chronic disease prevention, maternal health, and immunization
- Lead community outreach initiatives and stakeholder partnerships with local organizations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and priority intervention areas
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Train and supervise junior health educators and volunteer staff
- Evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in community health program development
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential required
- Experience working with diverse populations and bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing public health grants
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation
