Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations for public health crises in Chicago metropolitan area
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols for natural disasters and pandemics
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies during public health emergencies
- Train public health staff and community partners on emergency response procedures
- Analyze public health data to identify emerging threats and mitigation strategies
- Manage emergency response budgets and resource allocation
- Conduct post-incident reviews and recommend system improvements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field with 5+ years experience
- Certified in Emergency Management (CEM) or Public Health Preparedness (CPH)
- Proven crisis management experience in government or healthcare settings
- Expertise in incident command systems (ICS) and NIMS protocols
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making ability
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Valid Illinois driver's license and willingness to work irregular hours during emergencies
