Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols for public health incidents
- Develop incident action plans for natural disasters and disease outbreaks
- Manage federal grant allocations (FEMA, CDC) for public health preparedness
- Train local health departments on crisis communication procedures
- Analyze epidemiological data to recommend resource deployment strategies
- Conduct tabletop exercises and real-time drills with community partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 5+ years of crisis management experience in government or healthcare
- FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) certification required
- Experience with NIMS/ICS frameworks and SEPs
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Proficiency in GIS mapping for resource allocation
- Ability to work 24/7 during declared emergencies
