Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Develop and implement community resilience strategies for coastal health threats
- Lead epidemiological investigations and data-driven decision making
- Manage grant-funded emergency preparedness programs ($1.2M+ portfolio)
- Train 200+ public health professionals annually in crisis response
- Collaborate with FEMA and CDC on regional preparedness initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years emergency response experience in government/public health
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent
- Advanced epidemiology and statistical analysis skills
- Experience with emergency management systems (EMTrack, NIMS)
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- Ability to deploy within 24 hours during emergencies
