Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health strategies aligned with CDC guidelines and local needs
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing health disparities in underserved Atlanta communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Manage community outreach programs focusing on vaccination drives, health education, and preventive care
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises including natural disasters and disease outbreaks
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to strengthen primary care access and health equity initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience with government or non-profit organizations
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent professional certification
- Expertise in health data analysis using tools like SAS, R, or SPSS
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and securing federal/state health funding
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging diverse community groups
- Valid Georgia driver's license and ability to travel across metropolitan Atlanta
