Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health policies aligned with CDC guidelines and state mandates
- Analyze health data disparities and recommend targeted interventions for underserved populations
- Coordinate with federal agencies (CDC, HRSA) and local health departments on grant-funded initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing emergency preparedness protocols
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for the Governor's office
- Oversee $5M+ budget allocations for community health programs
- Represent the department at state legislative hearings and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in government health policy or public administration
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and social determinants of health
- Proficient in policy analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, or Tableau)
- Demonstrated success securing federal/state health grants
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean record
- Experience with MO HealthNet or Medicaid program administration
