Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare data and legislative trends to inform public health policy recommendations
- Collaborate with state agencies, community stakeholders, and federal partners on health initiatives
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation plans for the Secretary's office
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing public health emergency response protocols
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using KPIs and performance metrics
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in government health policy or epidemiology
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, or SPSS)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based health interventions
- Experience with federal grant applications (HRSA, CDC, SAMHSA)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- PH certification or MPH preferred
