Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate health policies addressing chronic disease prevention and healthcare access disparities
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform evidence-based public health strategies
- Collaborate with legislators, community leaders, and healthcare providers on policy implementation
- Prepare comprehensive reports and legislative briefings for state officials
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $2M
- Oversee stakeholder engagement initiatives across Harris County
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or healthcare
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS/R) and data visualization tools
- Deep understanding of Texas public health regulations and Medicaid programs
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Strong legislative affairs experience with Texas state government
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
