Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policies using epidemiological data and community health assessments
- Coordinate with Austin Public Health, City Council, and state agencies on policy implementation
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with healthcare providers, nonprofits, and community leaders
- Analyze legislative impacts and draft recommendations for public health regulations
- Manage grant-funded projects ($500K+ budgets) for chronic disease prevention programs
- Present findings to executive leadership and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in government/public health policy development
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative data analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Proven track record of implementing successful health initiatives in municipal settings
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- PHRP (Public Health Readiness Professional) certification preferred
