Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and maternal/child health
- Lead community health assessments and data analysis to identify emerging health trends
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including pandemic response planning
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and local government agencies
- Provide technical assistance and training to public health staff and community partners
- Monitor health metrics and prepare comprehensive reports for state leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R)
- Experience managing federal/state grants and budgets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to work evenings/weekends during public health emergencies
