Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate population-based health interventions targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses and public health crisis communications
- Manage community health assessment projects and analyze epidemiological data
- Develop strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profit organizations
- Secure and administer public health grants totaling $500K+
- Lead health education campaigns for diverse populations including underserved communities
- Supervise public health interns and junior staff members
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience with community-based programs
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS) and GIS mapping tools
- Demonstrated experience writing successful grant proposals
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with emergency preparedness protocols and COOP planning
