Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health interventions targeting chronic disease prevention
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and recommend policy changes
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives with local healthcare providers and non-profits
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $500,000
- Develop health education materials and lead public awareness campaigns
- Conduct program evaluations using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Collaborate with emergency response teams during public health crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of public health program implementation experience
- Valid Texas Public Health License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SPSS, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing public health grants
- Experience leading multi-stakeholder health coalitions
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential required
