Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Lead community outreach initiatives to educate diverse populations on health best practices
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and inform strategic health interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with public health regulations
- Train and mentor junior public health staff and volunteers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R)
- Experience with grant writing and budget management
- Ability to communicate complex health concepts to diverse audiences
- Valid Nevada driver's license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
