Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Lead community health assessments and data-driven intervention strategies
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives with healthcare providers and community partners
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Train staff on public health protocols and emergency response procedures
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations
- Represent the department in stakeholder meetings and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience with demonstrated program leadership
- Valid Arizona Public Health Certification (CPH) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in health data analysis using SPSS, SAS, or R software
- Proven grant writing and federal compliance experience
- Strong bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish preferred)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
