Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend strategic interventions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop emergency preparedness protocols
- Secure and manage federal/state health grants totaling $500K+
- Lead community outreach initiatives with 50+ partner organizations
- Train public health staff on regulatory compliance and best practices
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health agencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience in governmental settings
- Current Texas Public Health certification (CPH) required
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS, SAS, or R for statistical analysis
- Demonstrated success securing federal/state health grants
- Experience managing budgets exceeding $250K
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
