Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven public health strategies targeting underserved communities
- Oversee grant-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and prepare actionable health impact reports
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate community health education workshops
- Advocate for policy changes through stakeholder engagement and legislative testimony
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience in government/nonprofit settings
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification (CPH) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS/R for statistical analysis
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state health grants
- Experience managing multi-agency health coalitions
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
