Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Lead community outreach initiatives and stakeholder partnerships for health education campaigns
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Develop grant proposals and secure funding for health initiatives
- Supervise junior staff and train public health volunteers
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health authorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping
- Proven experience managing grants and budgets over $500,000
- Excellent communication skills with diverse community stakeholders
- Valid Nevada driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
- Spanish bilingual preferred
