Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance, data analysis, and report preparation for health trends
- Coordinate community partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits
- Manage grant applications and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Lead public health emergency preparedness and response planning
- Provide technical guidance to local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Represent the county at public health forums and interagency committees
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive public health program experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS/R
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance
- Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of Nebraska public health regulations and frameworks
- Valid Nebraska driver's license
