Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health policies aligned with CDC guidelines
- Lead crisis response coordination during public health emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health risks
- Collaborate with community stakeholders on health education initiatives
- Manage grant-funded health programs and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and state health authorities
- Mentor junior staff and cross-departmental health liaisons
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proven crisis management experience during health emergencies
- Advanced data analysis skills (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Experience with federal grant reporting (HRSA, CDC)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
