Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies across digital, print, and broadcast channels
- Manage crisis communications protocols and serve as primary spokesperson during emergencies
- Oversee county social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and audience growth
- Collaborate with department heads to craft compelling public messaging
- Produce press releases, newsletters, and multimedia content
- Analyze audience metrics and optimize engagement strategies
- Coordinate media relations events and press conferences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive communications experience in government or public sector
- Proven crisis management and media relations expertise
- Advanced proficiency in CMS platforms, social analytics, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Portfolio demonstrating successful multi-platform campaigns
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive information
- Strong writing and editing skills with AP Style mastery
