Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations addressing housing affordability, climate action, and social equity
- Analyze complex municipal data sets to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with 15+ city departments and community stakeholders on implementation plans
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and mayoral leadership review
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $2M+ annually
- Lead cross-functional teams of analysts and researchers
- Advocate for policy changes through public testimony and legislative briefings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated success in drafting municipal legislation and ordinances
- Experience with public budgeting and fiscal impact analysis
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with diverse community groups
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean record
