Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues related to urban development, equity, and sustainability
- Develop data-driven recommendations for city council and mayoral leadership
- Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives with community groups and nonprofits
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and impact assessments
- Manage interdepartmental projects addressing housing, transportation, and economic growth
- Monitor federal/state legislative developments affecting local governance
- Present findings to public officials and community forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public sector consulting
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Deep understanding of Tennessee municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing public engagement processes
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
