Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative impacts and regulatory compliance for state-funded initiatives
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs for legislative committees and executive leadership
- Collaborate with cross-agency task forces on urban revitalization projects
- Manage $2M+ grant portfolios for community development programs
- Present findings to public stakeholders via public hearings and reports
- Monitor KPIs for program effectiveness using state data systems
- Mentor junior analysts on public sector research methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in government policy analysis or public sector research
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, or SAS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated understanding of Washington State administrative codes
- Experience with grant management and federal compliance requirements
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with public presentation experience
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background clearance
