Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policy issues and recommend data-driven solutions to improve city services
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing housing, transportation, and sustainability challenges
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and reports for city council and mayoral leadership
- Manage public engagement processes through community forums and stakeholder workshops
- Monitor legislative developments at federal, state, and local levels affecting Atlanta
- Develop performance metrics to evaluate policy implementation effectiveness
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate inter-agency task forces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in government policy analysis or public sector roles
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software
- Demonstrated success in developing actionable policy recommendations
- Strong knowledge of Georgia state and Atlanta municipal governance structures
- Superior written/verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences
- Valid Georgia driver's license and ability to work occasional evenings/weekends
