Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state budget proposals and fiscal impacts on Bay Area communities
- Research and evaluate emerging policy trends in technology, housing, and climate resilience
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for senior leadership
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with local government partners and advocacy groups
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive branch decision-makers
- Oversee implementation of policy directives across multiple state agencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, Python) and statistical modeling
- Deep understanding of California's legislative and budget processes
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel statewide
