Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for municipal operations
- Coordinate with state agencies during disaster relief efforts
- Lead public safety training programs for city staff and community partners
- Analyze risk assessments and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Manage grant applications for federal homeland security funding
- Prepare monthly reports for city council and emergency management board
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years experience in government/public safety coordination
- Texas Emergency Management Certification (TEMC) required
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and emergency response software
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Experience with FEMA grant writing and compliance
- Ability to work rotating shifts during emergency activations
