Responsibilities
- Oversee design and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and water systems
- Manage project budgets exceeding $5M with strict adherence to public procurement regulations
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for compliance with FEMA and TxDOT standards
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Conduct site inspections and ensure OSHA/TCEQ compliance
- Develop long-term capital improvement plans aligned with city growth objectives
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for City Council review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum 8 years progressive public works engineering experience
- Proven expertise with municipal infrastructure project delivery
- Strong knowledge of FEMA, TxDOT, and TCEQ regulations
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS mapping
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Experience with public sector budget management and procurement processes
