Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of public infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulations
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate citizen complaints related to infrastructure issues
- Maintain accurate project records and digital databases
- Train junior inspectors on regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public works inspection or construction oversight
- Valid California Inspector certification (CIT/CTC)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification required
- Strong knowledge of California Building Code and Title 24
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and stand for extended periods
- Valid California driver's license
