- Algorithm Development: Develop and implement quantum algorithms to solve complex optimization and simulation problems.
- System Integration: Integrate quantum modules with high-performance classical computing infrastructure to create hybrid computing environments.
- Error Mitigation: Spearhead research into error mitigation techniques to extend qubit coherence times and improve algorithmic fidelity.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with hardware physicists, software engineers, and AI researchers to translate scientific breakthroughs into production-ready systems.
- Talent Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on quantum mechanics or computational theory.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in quantum computing, theoretical physics, or high-performance computing systems.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, C++, or CUDA, with hands-on experience using quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Technical Depth: Deep understanding of superposition, entanglement, decoherence, and quantum error correction codes (surface codes, stabilizer codes).
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex, open-ended technical challenges with creative and analytical solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholder groups.
