Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server environments and network architecture for state systems.
- Oversee system security protocols, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources, including migration to modern cloud platforms.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to manage IT service contracts.
- Lead projects related to IT infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or higher certification preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced government environment.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical staff.
