Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premise and cloud-based server environments using Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Perform system administration tasks including patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and performance of IT services.
- Conduct regular security audits and provide comprehensive technical documentation.
- Train and mentor junior system administrators and technical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and firewall configurations.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
