Responsibilities
- Manage and Maintain Infrastructure: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and security of Windows Server environments and Active Directory domains.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal government cybersecurity standards.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and optimize hardware and software configurations.
- User Support: Provide tier-3 technical support to internal staff and stakeholders, ensuring minimal downtime for government operations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and change management logs.
- Project Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT upgrades and system migrations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CCNA Certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in system administration within a corporate or government setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, and Virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued background check/security clearance.
