Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Monitor server performance, network traffic, and system health during night shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues, alerts, and outages immediately to minimize downtime.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Backup & Recovery: Manage and verify data backups and disaster recovery procedures during off-peak hours.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in system administration or IT support.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Security: Knowledge of government security standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) is highly preferred.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts.
