Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical state applications.
- Develop and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive state data and comply with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering or network administration.
- Proven experience with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.
